The book entitled “Biodiversity and Climate Change: Trends in Present Context” has been written to emphasize the importance of biodiversity and changing patterns of climate at global level. Book comprises 15 chapters on diverse topics but the main objective is to provide the sufficient study material in form of research outcomes, review matter and possible solution of the problems to students, researchers, teachers and policy makers. Climate change is the current issue and it is the matter of concerned to everyone. Its effects on biodiversity, crop patterns and crop yields is an alarming signal for human survival. Authors have elaborated the topics of the chapters and provide the useful information to the readers.
Dr. Satish Kumar is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany at Government College, Hisar (Haryana, India). He has more than 25 years of teaching experience in different institutions. He has been awarded M. Sc. in Botany from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (Haryana) and Ph. D. in Botany from Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut (UP). He is a member of Undergraduate Board of Studies in Botany of Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa (Haryana). He has published nine research papers and has been author of a textbook “Environmental Studies” for undergraduate classes. He has presented papers in many national and international seminars and conferences. He has been Editor of two magazines and published popular articles on scientific and social issues. He is dedicated to conserve the endangered tree species in Thar desert of India.
